Who we are

Director Aid is a trading name of Argentum Global LLC ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us about it at help@directoraid.co.uk.

What information we use

Public records. When a winding-up petition is presented against a company, we use information from public sources, namely court records, The Gazette and Companies House, to write to the company and its directors. This can include the company's name, number and registered office, details of the petition, and directors' names and service addresses. We may also use a business email address that the company publishes on its own website.

Information you give us. If you email us, we use your name, contact details and anything you choose to tell us, so that we can reply and help you.

This website. The website does not use cookies, analytics or contact forms. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security. The pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.

Why we use it

We contact directors of companies facing a winding-up petition because we have a legitimate interest in offering timely help to people in that position, and because the information is already public. When you contact us, we use your information to respond to you and, if you ask us to, to act for you.

Who we share it with

We use service providers to send letters, emails and text messages and to host our systems. They act on our instructions. We do not sell your information.

How long we keep it

We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, and we will stop contacting you and delete your details on request, keeping only what we need to make sure we do not contact you again.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our use of it. You can tell us at any time that you do not want to hear from us, and we will not contact you again. Email help@directoraid.co.uk.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
